Shabbos is coming…

We’re so happy!
We’re having company this Shabbos and as a special treat we asked them to bring sushi!  I don’t eat the stuff, but the look on their faces when they eat it is priceless.  I can literally taste their enjoyment.  So, here’s what else we’re having:
Friday Night:
  • Sushi
  • Chicken and zucchini (from Kosher By Design, Short on Time)
  • Roasted potatoes
  • Cigars (frozen, not sure what kind, but seemed like a good opportunity to serve them)
  • Brownies
  • Watermelon
Shabbos Lunch:
  • Melon
  • Salad
  • Cholent
  • Deli
  • Broccoli kugel
  • Lokshen kugel
  • Trader Joe’s Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream (Pareve, of course)
  • Watermelon

With this menu, planning was the key.  The kugels were made in advance.  Potatoes and chicken were prepared last night.  They will be put in the oven when I get home, along with the cigars.Special thanks to DH (I couldn’t make Shabbos without him):  Brownies were baked last night (Dunkin Hines).  Melon was cut last night and cholent was put up this morning.

That’s it.  We did it.  Now we can relax and enjoy!

Until next time,
Shaindy
