Lainie’s Mandelbread


This recipe comes from my Aunt Lainie.  She’s a really great cook and baker, so when I asked for this recipe I was surprised to see how easy it was to make.  This is great for last minute baking, doesn’t require any special ingredients and freezes really well.  I think it even tastes better after it’s been frozen!

Lainie’s Mandelbread


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp . baking powder
  • 1 tsp . vanilla
  • 1 bag chocolate chips


  1. Mix all ingredients
  2. On cookie sheet, make 2 loaves
  3. Bake on 325 for 30-35 minutes
  4. Cut when hot
