Back to work...

I waited all month for Pesach and now it's over.  Back to work.  Back to our routine.  It's already Wednesday and we have so much to do.  We have to unpack our suitcases and put everything away.  As DS1 said when he got into the car, it's time to go back to "our home."

Needed: Family Size Mattress

Why do my kids have their own beds? They never use them. Granted, my bed is super comfy, but still, my bed is only so big. Cuddling with the family is always great, but I miss my sleep. I used to be so good at it. I love my kids, but I still miss sleep. If only they knew how good it was (in their own beds). Yikes… my mother used to say that to us growing up! Now I finally understand why.

Pesach Prep and Packing List

Since we are going away for Pesach, the only preparation we really need to do is pack. I found this really comprehensive packing list online and made the changes I needed. I just hope we have room for everything!

What will we do without you?

We just found out that the daycare we've come to love might not be able to reopen next year.  They sold the building and were sure they'd be able to move to a new location, but now they might not have enough funding.  Frustrating how it all boils down to money. 

Our job now is to write to the board members to tell them what a wonderful asset the daycare is to our community.  I'm not sure what we would do if daycare wasn't around next year!  Stay tuned...

It fits!

My skinny skirt.  It's the skirt that fits when I'm at my skinniest.  It was staring at me from the closet.  How badly I wanted to wear it.  I was scared to put it on, fearing the very worst. I took it off the hanger and decided that it was time to overcome my fears.  I also had a back-up plan in case it didn't work out.  The clock was ticking.  I was already running late, so I just put it on.  I was so relieved when it started to zip.  It was a good sign.  At the very top, the zipper needed some "encouragement" but it zipped up all the way to the very top!  And I could still breathe! 

This made my day!  At almost 5 months post-partum it fit!  I hope this is the beginning of something good!

I finally did it...

I finally entered the world of blogging!  Almost everyone I know has a blog, so why not me?  I lead a busy life and have lots to tell.  With each post I hope to show that being a working mom usually isn't all that bad.  At times it's hard to get everything done, but with the help of my many lists (and my wonderful husband) we manage.  So, welcome everyone, to a glimpse into my happily hectic life!
