I get nervous before these long Shabbosim with super high heat temperatures. The days are long and we’re basically stuck inside. I was thinking of planning a play schedule for the kids, but I think that’s a bit much. Instead, I’d like to take advantage of the time and start playing family games together. I guess we’ll see how it goes.
We’re having another quiet Shabbos without guests, so the menu is simple.
- Stuffed cabbage (store-bought)
- Zucchini Kugel (freezer)
- Broccoli Kugel
- Sweet potatoes
Hmmm… come to think of it, I think we just had this same exact menu a few weeks ago. So much for variety! I guess I like to eat what works. If we like it, does it really matter if we have it every week? I don’t think so… plus, we were away last Shabbos, so it’s not like we just had it. I can deal with having the same food every week, but I wonder what DH will say… he usually likes to switch it up.
Do you find that you usually have repeat menus (like we do) or do you really change it up every week?
Until next time,
