Shabbos Menu: Eikev (July 26-27)

I know, I know.  It’s been so slow here at the blog, but that doesn’t mean I’m not working on it.  In fact, I’ve had so many ideas going through my head, it’s hard to find time to work on all of them.  What can I say?  There’s just never enough time in the day for everything I want to do!  I’m lucky my family has clean clothes and food to eat!

Even though I’ve ignored the blog this week, I haven’t ignored myself.  I spent Wednesday night out with friends for a much needed Ladies Night Out!  Since we all had little babies at home (mine was the oldest at 6 months old) we stayed local, but didn’t let that ruin the fun.  It was nice to have the night off!  Well, sort of… All the things I would normally do at night, just waited until very late at night when I got home.  Too bad my wish for a magical house cleaning genie hasn’t come true yet.

Since DH was home early Wednesday night so I could enjoy my night out, I put him to work!  He made his delicious meatloaf and watched my kugels while they were baking in the oven.  Here’s what else we’re having this Shabbos:

Friday Night:

Shabbos Lunch:

  • Gefilte fish
  • Meatloaf
  • Butternut squash kugel

Is it just me or are my Shabbos menus getting simpler every week?

Until next time,
Shaindy
