My Month in Review: April 2015

month_in_review
This month has been long. We started with Pesach and now I feel like we’re finally getting our acts together!
personal_growthI took off from work for the entire Pesach and it was amazing.  I won’t bore you with the details (I already did that), but I really learned a lot about myself and what I’m capable of. I put myself in the right mindset and coped with the unexpected.

Now we’re debating whether or not to spend the upcoming 3-day Shavuos at home…. do I have it in me to spend all that time with no other adult help while DH is in shul? Stay tuned…

No updates here. I didn’t figure out how to work my tracker device and now I even forget to wear it. Tsk, tsk. I also bought a muffin yesterday, so let’s not talk about that. (It was delicious, btw).

meaningful_spendingAfter Pesach I spent some time going through the summer clothes we have. DS2 and DS3 are all set, but I only had 2 pairs of short for DS1! Luckily, a few days after that discovery I got an email that The Children’s Place was having a 50% off sale + free shipping. I took advantage of that sale and now everyone is all set for the summer.  I love sales!

How was your month? Have you recovered from Pesach?  How long did it take you to get back on schedule?

Until next time,
Shaindy

  1. Stay tuned for my Shavuos menu post! If it helps, you can search for my Shavuos menus from previous years. As we did in the past, I plan on leaving my oven on (we have Shabbos mode) this way I can always make something from the freezer if we need to (think fish sticks, chicken nuggets and pizza- staples in our house). I honestly don’t have a lot of already prepared foods, but since we’re keeping it simple I don’t think that will be an issue. Good luck with all your prep!
