Hashem Has Our Back – An Example of Why Support Groups are Amazing

This past Friday I had a really hard day at work. I made a mistake and upset some people. It was hard to shake that feeling of failure over Shabbos. I made sure to give my kids extra hugs and it was reassuring that no matter what happened at work, they still loved me the same.

By Motzei Shabbos I had had a good cry and was in a better place. As I was getting into pajamas a reminder popped up on my phone. It was my support group meeting that was starting in 15 minutes.

I was almost ready for bed- it was 8:45pm and I wasn’t in the mood to go out. At the last minute I decided to go. I remembered all of the wonderful people I had met at these meetings and how good they made me feel.

As a working mom, having the right support in place is invaluable. I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I am part of a support group for working mom’s and even though we don’t meet as often as we’d like to, the meetings we do have are invaluable.

It turned out to be the best thing I could do for myself. The women in my my group have 100% emunah in Hashem. And because of that I realized why I was so upset. It was because I didn’t have enough belief and confidence that everything that happens is the best thing for me.

By the time I got home I was a changed person. I was smiling. I was looking forward to a busy Sunday with my family. And most importantly I was not worrying about work, because my trust was in Hashem.

One more thing that helped me was the class I am currently taking. I was contacted by Devorah Sisso Stieglitz to try her Breakthrough class. I’m going at my own pace, but let’s just say that the extra encouragement I get from her on my way to work helped gear me up for what I thought would be a hard day. More on this class to come… stay tuned for my full review coming soon.

And you know what? I was so nervous to go back to work on Monday. Now I’m on my way home and my day was just fine.

Until next time,
Shaindy
