Part 3: Superstorm Sandy- The Aftermath

“There’s a new drink called The Sandy; it’s a watered down Manhattan”

Too soon for a hurricane joke?  Hope not… I thought it was funny.

I never imagined how one storm would change the way the world is functioning.  There are rules about when I can fill my car with gas, the lines are forever long, not all the supermarkets are fully re-stocked yet and mass transportation is a nightmare.

For the past week and a half I’ve been working from home and it’s so different than what I’m used to, but I have to say- I can totally get used to it!  I’m more relaxed in the morning knowing that after I drop the kids off at school I’m coming back home and don’t have to worry about forgetting anything.  Because I don’t have to commute, I have more time for the errands I need to do and I’m just overall enjoying being more relaxed!

I can’t say that I’ve been totally productive.  I haven’t and I think it’s because I know that this mini-vacation will soon come to an end, but until it does, I’m going to enjoy and take advantage of every minute!

Until next time,
