I’m back! Back to work that is. My long maternity leave has come and gone and I am once again a full-time working mom. It was a hard, long week, but I’m proud to say that I made it through. I even took the week off of blogging… getting back into work mode proved to be a bit harder than I thought it would!
We are all adjusting to our new schedules (and new baby), but I think we are doing pretty well. We’ve been waking up early and the kids are (mostly) behaving and helping us get out the door quickly. All lunches and bags are packed the night before, so all we have to do is get dressed, eat breakfast and leave.
This past Sunday (the day before my first day back) was spent preparing for the coming week. I packed up everyone for daycare, made lunches for everyone (we’re back to making salad for lunch), made a dinner menu plan and even a Shabbos menu plan. I wanted this week to be as easy as possible.
Our menu this Shabbos is simple as usual. Here’s what we’re having:
